Laranjal (Pelotas)
Laranjal é um bairro de Pelotas, é onde se localiza os quatro principais balneários do município: Balneário Santo Antônio, dos Prazeres, Valverde, Novo Valverde. Há também uma vila de pescadores denominada Z-3. A praia do Laranjal é rodeada pela Laguna, também chamada lagoa dos Patos.
O Laranjal é mais do que um bairro da cidade. Principalmente no verão, ele se transforma literalmente na própria cidade, quando população e turistas procuram seus balneários.
O Balneário Santo Antonio é o mais antigo. É zona de preservação paisagística natural. Evoca Antônio Augusto Assunção Jr., cuja principal avenida leva o seu nome, inspirado no nome do santo, e em justa homenagem do poder público àquele que iniciou a urbanização da praia.

Laranjal is a district of Pelotas, where the four main spas of the municipality are located: Balneário Santo Antônio, dos Prazeres, Valverde, Novo Valverde. There is also a fishing village called Z-3. Laranjal beach is surrounded by the Lagoon, also called Lagoa dos Patos.
Laranjal is more than a neighborhood in the city. Especially in the summer, it literally turns into the city itself, when people and tourists seek its resorts.
Balneario Santo Antonio is the oldest. It is a natural landscape preservation area. It evokes Antônio Augusto Assunção Jr., whose main avenue bears his name, inspired by the name of the saint, and in just tribute from the public authorities to those who started the urbanization of the beach.
