How Cedric Maxwell Knew Terrence Clarke

Cedric Maxwell told a story on his podcast about the time he saw his son take a picture with a high school prospect at TD Garden. He was excited to meet someone Max hadn't heard of at that point. He'd go on to play at Kentucky toward being one of the top prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft, as a native of Boston. He died three months before draft night in a car accident last week, shocking the Celtics players he had become close to and others around the basketball world. Cedric Maxwell and Josue Pavon paid tribute to Terrence Clarke, who aimed to become a basketball ambassador in Boston, became friends with Jaylen Brown and an idol to kids like Max's and Brad Stevens' son.
