One of the four men accused of gangrape from a class 10 student in Meerut, western UP, was shot dead by the police as he tried to escape from custody while taking him and his partner to court.Police said both the accused Lakhan and Vikas were arrested today and were being taken to court, they snatched a pistol from a policeman and tried to flee.

यूपी के मेरठ में थाना सरधना कोतवाली क्षेत्र के एक गांव में ट्यूशन से लौट रही कक्षा 10 की छात्रा को गांव के ही युवकों ने कथित तौर पर अगवा कर सामूहिक दुष्कर्म किया था, आहत छात्रा ने घर पहुंचकर कथित रूप से जहरीला पदार्थ खा लिया था जिससे अस्पताल में इलाज के दौरान उसकी मौत हो गई. पुलिस ने इस मामले में दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया. आरोपियों को आज कोर्ट में पेश करने ले जाया जा रहा था जहां वो कस्टडी से भाग निकला. देखें वीडियो
