One Track Mind, the working title for the fifth Woodshed production, is the much anticipated latest addition to an already impressive library of surf films which includes A Brokedown Melody, Thicker Than Water and the classic September Sessions. The film features a series of historic surf adventures spanning several generations of surfers whose common focus is to be the best at what they do.
The opening sessions include some of the most inspirational and successful wave riders ever, including five former world champions. Tom Curren, Mark Occhilupo, Sunny Garcia, CJ Hobgood and Andy Irons discuss the past, present and future of performance surfing, including their place in each. Subsequent sessions venture into the unknown realm of surfing’s competitive future as we see the next crew of serious world title contenders. Watch as Bobby Martinez, Dane Reynolds and Jaime O’Brien push the status quo and search for their own fortune and fame, which may prove to be just around the corner. Peer into the lives of the super groms, the youngest group of sponsored surfers. We see talents as Jon Jon Florence, Kolohe Andino and Luke Davis take on the challenges and pressures of surfing at an incredibly high level while so young. Expect a wide range of surfing styles, perspectives and personalities making One Track Mind unique and attractive to a wide audience. This on-screen journey strives to be a slight departure from the traditional Woodshed movies in that rather than searching for inspiration in free surfing, this film explores the technical side and ambitious nature of these highly competitive individuals and their internal drive to succeed.
