The attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009 was the first time cricketers had been directly targeted by terrorists. That attack, in which several cricketers and coaching staff were injured, shattered the illusion that sportsmen were outside the terrorists' agenda. वर्ल्ड क्रिकेट में कुछ ऐसी घटनाये हुई है जिसे भुला पाना किसी के लिए भी आसान नहीं है। फिर चाहे कोई बड़ा और अध्भुत रिकॉर्ड हो या कोई ऐसी घटना जिसे याद करने से भी हर किसी की रूह कांप जाए। ऐसी ही एक घटना हुई थी आज ही के दिन साल 2009 में। जी हां 3 मार्च को क्रिकेट इतिहास का काला दिन भी कहा जाता है। इस दिन कुछ ऐसा हुआ था जिसे भुला पाना किसी के लिए भी मुमकिन नहीं है। दरअसल साल 2009 में जब श्रीलंकाई टीम पाकिस्तान के दौरे पर गयी थी तब टीम को एक आतंकवादी हमले का सामना करना पड़ा था, जिसके बाद ना सिर्फ श्रीलंका बल्कि पूरा क्रिकेट जगत सदमे में था। और इसी के बाद पाकिस्तान में इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट पर विराम लग गया था।
