Hello, my name is George and I'm a realtor here in Athens Georgia with Give Back Real Estate today I am going to be talking to Sally from the Cottage. As you guys know we donate 10% of all of our commissions to a charity of our clients' choice.
Sally is a member of the Cottage and she's going to tell you a little bit more about their work and how to get involved.
Thank you, George, the Cottage has received a lot of donations from Give Back, from the sales and purchases of homes, and so we're extremely grateful. It has really helped our budget because the funds that we get from Give Back go straight to providing therapy to clients. What we do here at the Cottage is work with survivors of child abuse and sexual assault.
What we do with these donations is make sure that therapy is free for survivors of child abuse and sexual assault in Athens and in the surrounding area. So these donations are very important, some of the things that we've done during this time where we can't be around each other due to covid-19 are, we're doing virtual therapy with clients, we're also doing virtual support groups as well. However, we look forward to seeing clients in person again for therapy.
