Zero Dropout Campaign welcomes matric results

Basic education minister Angie Motshekga is satisfied with the matric pass rate despite it being more than 5 percentage points lower than 2019. She says the pass rate has been improving from the 60 percent in 2009 to above 70 percent. But the department is worried about the dropout rate and raised its concerns in Parliament last year.
