The coronavirus pandemic is showing no sign of slowing.
In the U.S., the number of COVID-19 patients in hospital has reached an all-time high of almost 70-thousand.
The latest figure exceeds that of the spring and summer peak of around 59-thousand on April 15th and July 23rd.
Several states have issued new mandates to contain the virus, limiting social gatherings and suspending indoor restaurant dining.
Japan is also seeing a similar uptick trend, reporting almost a thousand or more daily coronavirus infections.
The total number of confirmed patients in the country is now over 120-thousand... including the 712 cases from the Diamond Princess cruise ship early this year.
