Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film co-produced, co-written and directed by Mani Ratnam featuring an ensemble cast including Arvind Swami, Silambarasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay as the lead actors, while Jyothika, Dayana Erappa, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh portray the leading female characters. Made jointly by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film's score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman, while Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor.
Principal photography of the film commenced on 12 February 2018 and was completed on 2 June 2018 at Serbia. The film will also be dubbed in Telugu as Nawab.
Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendran often credited as T. R. Silambarasan, Simbu, or STR, is an Indian film actor, director, music director, and playback singer in the Tamil film industry. He is also considered as an Environmentalist due to his active participation in solving Cauvery River problem between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He began his career by playing roles as a child artist in films directed by his father T. Rajendar, before his first lead role in Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002), under his father's direction and produced by his mother Usha.
