Marilyn Strickland becomes first Korean-American woman in U.S. Congress

Marilyn Strickland has become the first Korean American woman in the U.S. Congress and the first black member of Congress representing a district in Washington state.
The AP has called Strickland's victory as the next representative for Washington's 10th Congressional District.
Born in Seoul to a black father, who was a member of the U.S. military stationed in Korea after the Korean War, and a Korean mother,... Strickland used to be mayor of Tacoma, Washington.
