Pope Francis has issued an apology for his widely-viewed slap of a woman who had grabbed his hand as he greeted Catholic faithful on New Year's Eve. Pope Francis was seen greeting people at the St. Peter's square in Vatican City. As the Pope shook hands and walked away, a woman grabbed his hand from beyond the barrier and the pontiff's arm got yanked. The Pope lost his cool at the devotee and the video showed him scolding her and slapping her hand.
