U.S. National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien says a chance to resume denuclearization talks with North Korea could come around the time of next summer's Tokyo Olympics.
Speaking at a webinar hosted by the Aspen Institute on Friday, he was asked about the U.S.'s current approach to North Korea's continuous expansion of its nuclear arsenal.
He added that Pyeongyang is interested in participating in the Olympics, and around then, the two parties can get together to discuss "prosperity and better economic times for North Koreans."
The Olympic games, initially set to happen this past summer in Tokyo, have been postponed to next July due to COVID-19.
