Farmers' protests against the agriculture-related Bills passed in the Lok Sabha continue to intensify in Punjab, which goes to polls in about 18 months. Congress is in talks with other Opposition parties to launch a nationwide agitation against the Centre's three farm-related bills which were promulgated as Ordinances earlier this year.

This comes even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi tries to defend the bill a day after Union Cabinet Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned over the same. He has hit out at the Opposition and Congress over the controversy surrounding the 3 farm bills taken up in Parliament.
