Firefighters called to incident near Sunderland Asda superstore

Emergency services have been called to an incident near to the Asda superstore on Leechmere Road in Sunderland.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews are currently dealing with an incident on Leechmere Road, near to the Asda superstore.
Crews from South Shields and Hebburn fire stations were called at 9.27pm on Tuesday, September 8 and remain on scene.
The fire service was unable to confirm the nature of the incident at this time.
