Introducing Lawrence M. Thomas

Lawrence M. Thomas is passionate about sports, martial arts, and athletics. A man with a career and personal history that has traversed many grounds, “Larry” as the ones close to him know him as, has served as in the U.S. Navy. When his time in the Armed Forces came to an end, Lawrence went on to study at Bentley College, a private university focused on business and located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Founded in 1917 as a school of accounting and finance in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, Bentley moved to Waltham in 1968.

Happily married and a proud father, Lawrence M. Thomas is married to Marcia, and they together they have four children and six grandchildren. Another interesting note about Lawrence’s career is his time spent serving as a Master Mason and a past Master of the Masonic lodge in his area. He also served as Deputy Grand Secretary of his District.

Lawrence M. Thomas is the Founder of Total Asset Design; a company specializing in life insurance planning, group life and disability planning, and retirement planning. At the heart of it, Lawrence strives to help people and positively impact their lives by utilizing his talents and skills.

For the past three decades, Lawrence has studied and practiced Ueichi-Ryu, an Okinawan style of karate, in which he is a Black Belt. He has competed and won a number of championships in New England. For Lawrence, sports and physical fitness aren’t just for the body, but for the mind, as well. Knowing the intimate connection between mind and body, Lawrence credits his strict dedication to martial arts over the past 30 years as a major conduit to his success in his professional and personal life.

Lawrence M. Thomas has also served Vestry of his church, and a Cub Scout Master and Little League baseball and youth Soccer Coach. He also served as president of the University of Hartford Parents Association.

In his spare time, he enjoys golf, bow hunting, football, and NASCAR.
