Chinese zoo serves watermelon and ice cubes to animals to combat high temperatures

A zoo in eastern China served watermelon and ice cubes to animals to help them cope in the high temperatures.

In the video, shot in the city of Nantong in Jiangsu Province on August 3, white tigers were seen licking on ice cubes, while monkeys and hippos were feeding on watermelon.

The temperature reportedly reached 35 degrees Celcius in the city.
