Countries around the world are suffering from torrential downpours and floods this summer.
Millions of homes and businesses were left with no power after tropical storm Isaias battered the U.S. East Coast with torrential rain and strong winds.
The storm also killed several people as it ripped through the East Coast, after making landfall as a hurricane in North Carolina on Monday.
Isaias has since moved into Canada, and has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone.
Over in China, typhoon Hagupit hammered eastern regions of the country since Tuesday, bringing heavy downpours to Shanghai, causing urban waterlogging and disrupting traffic.
Downgraded to a tropical storm on Wednesday, Hagupit had caused hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate.
