A boat full of people drowned in the flood waters after a strong storm struck near Bahiyar from Bagulwa Tola in Chidaiya OP area within the eastern Koshi embankment of Salkhua block of Bihar's Saharsa district. About fifteen people were aboard the boat, in which five people drowned. With the help of the villagers, about nine people have been rescued and taken out safely. At the same time, with the help of local divers, the bodies of a total of three people, including father and son, have been recovered.

बिहार के सहरसा जिले के सलखुआ प्रखंड के पूर्वी कोशी तटबन्ध के भीतर चिड़ैया ओपी क्षेत्र के बगुलवा टोला से पूरब बहियार के समीप तेज आँधी तूफान की चपेट में आ जाने से बाढ़ के पानी में लोगों से भरी नाव पलट गई। नाव पर करीब पंद्रह लोग सवार थे।जिसमें पांच लोग डूब गए।ग्रामीणों की मदद से करीब नौ लोगों को बचा कर सही सलामत बाहर निकाला गया है। वहीं स्थानीय गोताखोरों की मदद से पिता पुत्र सहित कुल तीन लोगों का शव बरामद बरामद कर लिया गया है।
