Patriots News: Cam Newton Will Wear No. 1 in New England

Now that Cam Newton has officially inked his deal with the New England Patriots, the veteran quarterback was officially added to the team's roster. Newton will carry on with the same number that he donned in Carolina: one. Newton will be only the fourth player in the Patriot's history to wear No. 1 on his uniform.

Newton is also the first Patriots since 1987 to select No. 1 as their jersey number.
