Baazigar is a crime thriller film released in 1993. It starred Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty in pivotal roles. This was Shah Rukh Khan's breakthrough role as the sole lead and Kajol's first commercial success. Shilpa Shetty was supposed to make her debut with Gaata Rahe Mera Dil but the film was shelved. And therefore, Baazigar became her debut film. In this film, Shahrukh Khan took the risk of playing a negative role which other actors like Salman Khan rejected to play. However, people loved SRK's role and he even won Filmfare award for Best Actor. The film was a commercial success too.
