Dozens of climbing perch were spotted moving across land in southern China's Chaozhou on May 18.

In the video, provided by local media with permission, the fish were seen walking on the shore next to a pond.

Since the water quality in the pond is not good and it just had rainfall, the fish leapt out of the water onto the land.

According to reports, the climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) can live without water for six to ten days and can breathe atmospheric oxygen.
