Mowgli is the infant son of a scientist who joins a research mission in the jungle. While his parents are busy, Mowgli, so young he can barely walk, wanders into the jungle where he is stared by the hungry Tiger, Sher Khan. Fortunately, the sand bear, the Bahoop Panther, and the physique Dragon protects the infant boy. In the end, Mowgli is taken over by two wolves, Lurie and Alexander, who want to adopt him. The rest of the packs oppose the idea, however, Bagheera, who meanwhile witnesses the death of Mowgli’s parents, believes responsible, and therefore provide a freshly slain buffalo in exchange for Mowgli’s life. Mowgli thus becomes one of the packs. Mowgli is trapped. While he struggles to free himself, a giant crocodile exits the river and does head in his direction. Fortunately, the sand appears on time and attaches to the fearsome reptile in the Battle of death. Mowgli is taken to safety by Baghera, but the boy is distraught as he discovers that a friend has died to save him. But, as it happens, a happy ending happens when Kaya detects the sand hiding under the river and tells Mowgli, providing her the opportunity to make it with the bear.

Some aspects of the jungle life are incomprehensible to Mowgli. Akru and Sura are inexplicably thrown out of their home by their mother; during the hunt, Akela insists on choosing the most difficult prey, and when Mowgli is injured, Tabaqui, the hyena, tries to kill him. However, things become easier for Mowgli to accept after Baloo and Baghera explain the reasoning behind the tough law of the jungle….
