Baseball resumes in South Korea as May 5th regular season opener confirmed

Baseball returned to South Korea on Tuesday with closed door practice games following an announcement by the top flight Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) that it will start its postponed regular season on May 5th.

The LG Twins and Doosan Bears took the field in Seoul as teams got back in action across the country for the start of two weeks of exhibition games and training for the ten team KBO.

The KBO said that it will begin its regular season play without public access, then gradually open the games to fans once the league judges that the threats of COVID-19 are largely reduced.
