Ayodhya turns into fortress ahead of Uddhav Thackeray's visit

Ahead of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s visit and Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) "Dharma Sansad" to push for the construction of Ram Temple, Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya turned into a fortress with massive security around disputed land. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing organisation and the ideological patriarch of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is also scheduled to organise a ‘Hunkar’ rally in Ayodhya on Sunday. As many as 42 companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), five companies of Rapid Action Force, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) along with extended police force have been deployed in the city to tackle any untoward incident.
