Cutting Chai Tea Indian Street Food Masala Chai Tea Serving Chaiwala Style

Chai served in shown cutting glasses by in Indian subcontinent is a special treat!
Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
FOR 2 CUPS MASALA TEA - CHAI:
11/2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
3 teaspoons tea leaves
3 teaspoons Sugar
1" long piece of ginger

FOR MASALA:
3 cardamom pods
4 cloves
1 - 3" long cinnamon stick
5-6 pepper corn (per your taste)
1/4 teaspoon dried ginger powder

PREPARATION:
1. Coarse grind all dried spices in mortar using pastel to make masala. Crush ginger roughly. Keep aside.
2. Boil water in a sauce pan. Add ginger & bring it to boil. Add masala, ginger powder & sugar. Boil for a 1 1/2 - 2 minutes.
3. Add dried tea powder & boil for a minute or till turns dark brown.
4. Add milk & boil for a minute. Strain & Serve in cutting glasses!

Note: 2 Cups of tea per this recipe will fill 3-4 cutting glasses.
