McAdenville, NC is a small village just outside Charlotte. It was formerly a small mill village that housed the employees of Pharr Yarn. In 1956 they generous owners of Pharr Yarn decided to help bring the spirit of Christmas to the village. They then paid the electriic bills for the villagers in December and supplied the lights. The tradition of decorating the entire village continues today. There are thousands of lights in the village and forty something trees surround the beautiful lake. Each tree is fully decorated every Christmas. This tiny village has been featured in national magazines as Christmas Town USA.
