hialrious moment three lost sheep are found chilling on shop roof

Three lost sheep found their way onto a roof in Cumbria after escaping from their field.

Andrew Laverick, 49, spotted the animals 'chilling' on the tiles in Glenridding, the Lake District, and called a farmer who came to heard the sheep back to Gillside farm.

The three, who may have climbed up to avoid potential floods, were spotted staring down at passersby from the roof on Wednesday afternoon.
'I saw those sheep and thought to myself: "What's going on?",' said Andrew. 'It's just some sheep on a rooftop, but how did they get there?'

'It's not every day you see some sheep just hanging out, chilling on a rooftop. I thought they must have jumped or something - but it was really funny and unusual so I took my phone out to film it.

'I was surprised they could jump - but that's animals for you, they can do all sorts of crazy things you could never imagine.
'It really made my afternoon, it's been quite gloomy so it was quite the sight. I immediately went into work to tell everyone about it, I couldn't stop talking about it.'

It's unclear how the sheep managed to get onto the slate roof.
Posts on social media say it was a mission to get the animals down, but they are all now safely back on the farm.

'I don't think it was very graceful but all sheep and locals are back in their respective fields unhurt,' Andrew said online.

A rescuer added: 'We tested rugby skills when we got them down. One ran off so we shouted to (a bystander to) catch that sheep so he did (and) it (pulled) him down but he held on.'
