Elbrus is the highest peak in Europe, it’s 5,642 metres high. ‘The diamond of the Caucasus’ is situated in the South of Russia in the republic of Kabardino-Balkarian. Elbrus itself is an extinct volcano. The snow stays here throughout the year, making it a magnet for snowboarders and skiers even in summer. In the upcoming installment of the "Wayfarer" series Mark Ames tries skiing, the famous Narzan mineral water and the traditional food of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
