After winning the T20I series 5-0 against New Zealand, the visitors faced defeat in the first ODI as the New Zealand batsmen played all Indian bowlers comfortably. Harbhajan Singh that the hosts’ batting lineup is strong enough to tackle all fast bowlers that they face in home conditions. However, they’ll struggle against spin as usual, especially in the middle overs.

टीम इंडिया को मिली करारी हार के बाद हरभजन सिंह ने बड़ा बयान दिया है. भज्जी ने कहा है कि अगले मैच में केदार जाधव को टीम से बाहर कर देना चाहिए और उनकी जगह युजवेंद्र चहल को प्लेयिंग इलेवन में शामिल किया जाए. गौरतलब है कि पहले वनडे मैच में चहल को प्लेयिंग इलेवन से बाहर कर दिया गया था. टी20 सीरीज में खराब प्रदर्शन की वजह से चहल को कप्तान कोहली ने मौका नहीं दिया. केदार जाधव को दूसरे ऑलराउंडर के तौर पर टीम में शामिल किया गया. लेकिन, उन्होंने सिर्फ बल्लेबाजी ही की. जाधव ने 15 गेंदों पर 26 रन जड़ दिए.
