Mawa or khoya is a dairy product obtained by reducing milk. Mawa is widely used in Indian cuisine specially for making sweet dishes.It is made by reducing milk by heating it in an open pan slowly,it is dried evaporated milk solids.In Indian cooking especially in northern side of India,khoya is mostly used in every sweet dish.It is base for many famous Indian recipes. Mawa or khoya/khoa is also used in many Indian gravies. Mawa is not available at all dairy stores in some countries or sometimes at our home,so there are alternatives of making it at home.I am sharing easiest recipe of making mawa/khoya/khoa/khuwa/khava,called by so many names in different regions.By following this recipe you can make mawa in just 10 mins at home and can use it further for making several dishes.If you like my recipe them please like,share and subscribe to my channel chop n chill..thanks..lets start the recipe..

Ingredients for the recipe :
2 tbsp of ghee
1/8 cup or 30 ml thick cream (optional)
1/2 cup of cold milk
2 cups of milk powder( not dairy whitener)
1 non-stick pan and spatula/spoon
Note : Use non stick pan to avoid sticking and burning.
Make on low/ medium flame.
Refrigerate in an air tight container.
Use proper measuring cups and spoons for perfect measurement.
