The promise of eternal life our Lord made stands before us like a great beacon of hope. If His word is subject to failure our faith is in vain. We who believe He is the resurrection and the life, the One who conquered death and defeated the powers of this world, live by our faith in His completed ministry (Jn.11:25-26). And we await His call. At that blessed moment we will have eternal life! (1Thes.4:13-18; Jn.14:21; 17:24; Ti.2:13; 1Cor.15:51-52).
