After the dissolution of Heller Ehrman and Thelen, hundreds of attorneys were left without work.
Now, months later, many are still unemployed, even after some of the nation's largest firms hired those affected.
Heller had 550 lawyers when it officially dissolved on Sept. 26. Most of the unemployed at both firms are in New York, Washington, and San Francisco.
According to the National Law Journal, about 130 of Thelen's 400 lawyers continue to associate themselves with the firm and 81 lawyers from Heller still have not found new employment.
