Farmers at a village in west India held a unique protest against local government, by burying themselves up to their necks, in order to demand compensation for the use of their land.

On December 2, two farmers, a man and a woman, buried themselves up to their necks in their fields, protesting for around three to four hours.

Government authorities installed a 60KV power supply on farmland in Jetpur, Rajkot district, Gujarat, prompting the farmers' allegation that they weren't reasonably compensated for the use of their land.
