Hey, today I want to answer the question what kind of website should I build to earn from affiliate marketing.

I would encourage you not to have a website for affiliate marketing. All the money that is made in affiliate marketing is from a list.

What I mean from a list is names and email addresses that people submit to get information about a certain topic. Then when you have that list you can send out messages.

How you should promote affiliate offers is to send out many, many messages for 1 week to your list.

Some people will buy in the beginning and then in the middle sales drop. If you keep sending out messages you will notice sales pick up again towards the end of the week.

If you didn't have a list you could lose out on 99% of those sales. Plus, after that first week you can market other products and you could make money from those.

Since, all the money is from a list you should focus on this area first because this is where the money is.

You can build a list without a website. There is spore.com that allows you to create a 1 page website, Leadpages allows you to as well and many others.

You do need an email message provider also called an autoresponder. What is very cool is you don't even need an autoresponder.

You can partner with another marketer and use their list to make money. This is piggybacking on their work and can be a great thing depending on the deal you make with them.

Almost like a franchise, you are using something that already works. It's like paint by numbers really and what I recommend. Why re-invent the wheel right?

I encourage you to look into this area when you first start. You might be wondering how to create a blog without a website.

You can use Linkedin articles or Medium articles as an idea. Both of those websites have lots of users, plus they can get ranked in the search engines. Another benefit is Google trusts those sites more, so it's actually easier to rank.

If you create a website from scratch it will take a while before Google will trust it. Plus most of your energy will be spend trying to create the perfect website because we all have egos and this will not make you money.

In fact, I honestly don't think your missing out on anything by having a website.

You could put ads on the website, but there is no money in ads. You could sale the website in the future, but if you do that you will lose out on the money you would get from it.

The real benefit you would get from a website is you can customize it whatever way you please and you own the space so nobody can take it from you.

If you write on Linkedin on create YouTube videos you have to play by their rules.

I do have a website and I mostly use it for the brand. It comes in handy if I want to mention my website to people in person and on video. Someone can type in my website and go
