MNF Black Cat Among 300 Feral Cats Living Inside MetLife Stadium.
The infamous cat that interrupted Monday Night Football is not alone.
There are more than 300 feral cats living
inside the New Jersey stadium,
according to the 'New York Post.'.
The black cat went viral after it ran onto the
field during the second quarter .
of Monday night's game between the
New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
An employee, known as "Cat Man," said the
felines are fed by MetLife Stadium employees.
The ownership [of the MetLife Sports Complex] pays for it, but I kick in 18 to 24 cans of wet food each week. They love
the wet food. , "Cat Man," MetLife employee, via 'New York Post'.
The cats were allegedly brought in decades
ago to help with the rodent problem
at the Meadowlands racetrack.
A Metlife Stadium spokeswoman denied the allegations.
We most definitely do not have 300 feral cats living in the stadium. We are an outdoor facility and at times have seen 1 or 2 cats roaming around. , MetLife Stadium spokeswoman, via 'New York Post'
