Around 60 firefighters called to blaze in Battersea, south London

Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been called to a fire at a flat in Ingrave Street in Battersea, London Fire Brigade has said.

Eyewitness video shows a police car accompanying an ambulance and a large presence of emergency responders at the scene.

"Part of one flat on the 14th floor of the 15 storey building was damaged by fire," London Fire Brigade said in a statement.

"Firefighters rescued one man from the property and he was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.

"The Brigade was called at 1821 and the fire was under control at 1928. Fire crews from Battersea, Wandsworth, Tooting, Fulham and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene."
