Couples raced through muddy obstacles and log hurdles for beer and cash in Newry, Maine, as the town hosted the 20th annual North American Wife Carrying Championships Footage shows men with their wives hanging upside-down behind them, while running down the hills, traversing the water obstacle, dubbed the "Widow Maker," as well as scaling the log hurdles, at the Sunday River Ski Resort. Olivia Dowling and Jerome Roehm, a couple from Delaware, won this year's competition, beating out 44 other couples by finishing in under a minute.
