up2002 - new style for a new age of music? teaming up with timbaland is not new. it got old last year. how about some originality from the man himself - not just teaming up with a super producer who people must be getting tired of by now. of course he should do new stuff. NEW STUFF. a style we HAVEN'T heard before.
i also realise that he's a bit too macho these days. "she'll never be your man" on carry on and now "that bitch ain't a part of me"?. Chris Cornell surely has issues with the opposite sex.

I say this. It's a new style of music for a new age of music. If he came out with the same old, sure we would love it but he would gain no new fans. I think this caters to what is happening right now in the music industry. I support him 100% but don't get it twisted. Black Hold Sun is still my favorite song by Chris.

yup. I have also been a long time fan. I have to say I was pretty skeptical at first (Timbaland is just someone I would have NEVER imagined Cornell teaming up with!) But, after listening with an open mind to the entire album stream on his myspace page today, I have to say that I like more songs on first listen than with his last solo album. Ground Zero is my favorite and reminds me of something that might have shown up on Euphoria Morning. Anyway, I got my tix for the Austin show this month. A couple of years ago he played here and it was a great show (with Slaves and Bulldozers -vintage SG for us hardcore fans!) I'll have to give a review after the show.
