I have to disagree with Miroe and others who would like to paint Chris or any other musician into a corner from what they have previously done. I love old Soundgarden (especially FOPP) more than anyone here but at the same time, I like this as well. If you don't like it, that's cool but no musician should be stereotyped.

Oh my God! It is great to see Chris back. I think that this new direction looks great on him. It shows the measure of a good musician to be able to change the sound with the times. A great singer is a great singer. I personally like the change and it show a maturation of his skills...looks great on ya, Chris.

up2002 - new style for a new age of music? teaming up with timbaland is not new. it got old last year. how about some originality from the man himself - not just teaming up with a super producer who people must be getting tired of by now. of course he should do new stuff. NEW STUFF. a style we HAVEN'T heard before.
i also realise that he's a bit too macho these days. "she'll never be your man" on carry on and now "that bitch ain't a part of me"?. Chris Cornell surely has issues with the opposite sex.
