An 86-year-old man miraculously survived after being run over by a truck when he managed to cross a road in eastern China.

The CCTV video, shot in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province on October 7, shows a truck suddenly moving forward, knocking an old man down and driving over him.

Fortunately, the old man only suffered scratches to his body and had injuries to his ribs. He is being treated in hospital and the case is in further investigation.

According to reports, the old man walked into the truck driver's blind spot.
