Judges at the 11th annual Surf City Surf Dog competition in Huntington Beach, California, "are looking for length of the ride, the confidence" of the contestants on the surfboard, says Marcie Taylor, the event's media officer. But there's a major difference here: Those competing for the title are dogs.
