Another suspected report of African swine fever outbreak in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do Province

Another suspected case of African swine fever has been reported,... this time in a pig farm in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do Province, some 30 km north of Seoul.
Bracing for what could be the tenth confirmed case, authorities are on high alert and have implemented further emergency quarantine measures as the report comes on the heels of the ninth confirmed ASF case in Ganghwa Island of Incheon earlier today.
All pigs in Ganghwa County will be culled, which is around 38-thousand animals.
So far, a few suspected cases turned out negative -- two in Yangju,..., and another in Yeoncheon, also north of Seoul.
All the confirmed cases are fairly close to North Korea,.... such as the northern areas of Gyeonggi-do Province and Incheon.
Authorities are currently working to find out exactly how the disease got into South Korea.
