Gecko survives going through washing machine and turns up in man's laundry

A man in eastern Indonesia discovered a live gecko that had survived being put through a spin in a washing machine and then turned up in his laundry.
The video, filmed in Makassar City on September 22, shows the man open the laundry drum mid-wash and retrieve the stunned gecko from his wet laundry. Reportedly it later recovered and was released alive.
The filmer commented: "I was washing my clothes using a washing machine and during the beginning process, a gecko jumped into the rotating machine.
"I wanted to rinse the clothes when I saw the gecko move in the water and try to hide behind the washed clothes. I then pulled the clothes and found the gecko is still alive."
