The Health & Consumers Directorate-General of the European Commission is launching a campaign to help consumers become more aware of their rights. Recent EU legislation, the Unfair Commercial Practices (UCP) Directive, provides clear criteria for judging whether commercial practices are unfair and includes a “Black List” of certain unfair commercial practices that are banned outright.
