Three women were captured fighting over the last piece of discounted pork in a market in southern China.

The video, filmed in Nanning city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 15, shows three women clinging onto the meat.

A woman can be heard saying: "The bottom part of the pig's hind leg is mine, cut it for me!" while another woman said: "You cut too much, it will not be enough for me."

According to local reports, the pork price in Nanning city increased dramatically from June this year due to the African swine fever.

However, a temporary intervention measure in pork prices has been issued from September 1 in the city, meaning every meat vendor can now sell 150g of pork meat at a discount of more than 10 per cent of the average market price daily and customers can buy up to 1kg of the discounted pork.
