Girl raped, killed in Manila

MANILA – A girl believed to be a victim of rape was found in Paco, Manila on Sunday evening. The girl, who appears to be 4 or 5 years old, was found at a poorly lit lot in front of Plaza Dilao along Quirino Avenue. She was wearing a white tank top but had no trousers. Barangay 825, Zone 89 officials said the girl's genitals were lacerated, indicating she is likely a victim of rape. Officials found a pair of jeans near the spot where the victim's body was dumped. Barangay authorities are looking into the possibility that a man seen wandering around the area was behind the crime. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
