MANILA - Some typhoon survivors arriving in Manila have found temporary shelter in the care of helpful Pinoys. An ABS-CBN report said private individuals have volunteered to temporarily shelter typhoon survivors who have no relatives in Metro Manila. It said the Department of Social Welfare and Development are vetting the backgrounds of the individuals before turning over the survivors to them. Many typhoon survivors who have no families in Metro Manila are now staying in government shelters. Upon their arrival at Villamor Airbase, they are given food, water and clothes.
