Indonesia is set to move its capital to eastern Borneo, replacing the crowded megacity of Jakarta.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo revealed the location of the new capital on Monday,... saying it is in an area that is the least prone to natural disasters and is a strategic location at the center of Indonesia.
Currently, just 10 million people live on Borneo, the third largest island on Earth.
The old capital Jakarta will remain as a financial and business hub.
There are environmental concerns that the move could hasten the destruction of rainforests and increase pollution.
