Barack Obama Reveals New List
of Book Recommendations In a Facebook post, the former president started
off by plugging a number of works
from novelist Toni Morrison. Morrison, who was honored seven years ago
with the Presidential Medal of Freedom,
died earlier this month at the age of 88. Barack Obama, via Facebook Obama listed off 10 other works for readers, such
as Colson Whitehead's 'The Nickel Boys.' He also recommends Ted Chiang's 'Exhalation'
and Hilary Mantel­’s 'Wolf Hall.' Others include 'Men Without Women' by
Haruki Murakami and 'American Spy'
by Lauren Wilkinson. He also reccomends Nicholas Carr's
'The Shallows,' Hope Jahren's
'Lab Girl' and 'Inland' by Téa Obreht. Rounding off the list was 'How to Read the Air' by Dinaw Mengestu and Stephanie Land's 'Maid.'
