Another victim of Japan's wartime sex slavery passes away; only 20 registered survivors left
  • 5 years ago
Another Korean victim of Japan's wartime sex slavery has died without getting a sincere apology from Japan.
An NGO that supports the women said Sunday that a victim, whose name was disclosed,... passed away Sunday morning.
The number of registered survivors in Korea is now just 20.
In 2015, Seoul and Tokyo sought to resolve Japan's sexual slavery of Korean women during World War Two, by establishing a foundation with a fund from Japan to help the victims.
But the agreement did not seek consent from the women, and the foundation was disbanded last year.
