MANILA, Philippines – Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Munoz signaled his return to the UFC with a unanimous decision victory over Tim Boetsch in the undercard of UFC 162. It was Munoz’s first fight since losing to Chris Weidman via technical knockout in July 2012, which triggered a long injury lay-off for the Filipino. Munoz battered Boetsch’s body, used grueling ground and pound, and defended well against his opponent’s submission attempts.
